WIPIN Teams Up with Robin Samora Inc. to Offer Scholarships to Women in the Pet Industry Conference in Portland, OR Aug 23-25
Portland, OR (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Portland-based Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN) has teamed up with Boston-based PR Firm Robin Samora Inc. to offer three deserving women the opportunity to attend WIPIN’s inaugural Women in the Pet Industry Conference in Portland, Oregon from August 23-25, 2013.
The 3-day conference, which will bring together women pet professionals of all backgrounds -- including product manufacturers, vets, sitters, groomers, trainers, artists, writers, animal psychics, boutique store owners and more -- will feature interactive workshops, dynamic education sessions and expert-led presentations that cover every element of sustainable success in the pet industry. Conference coverage will include:
• Business, marketing and PR strategies and best practices to measurably grow a pet business.
• The opportunity to forge lasting and profitable partnerships with like-minded pet industry professionals, vendors and sponsors.
• An exclusive invitation to network with successful entrepreneurs and make connections that matter.
• Tips, tactics and secrets for generating new ideas to increase personal effectiveness and their professional results.
• Inspiration to set and achieve ambitious goals sooner -- not later.
Plus, Conference attendees will be part of WIPIN’s first ever Pet Industry Woman of the Year Awards Show, which will recognize a leading woman from the pet industry who best exemplifies the qualities of business smarts, giving, growing and connecting.
“This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and community-minded woman pet professional to connect with experts and access tools, resources, insights and information to take their career to the next level,” commented Robin Samora, Principal of Robin Samora Inc., and Shawna Schuh, President and Chief Pet Wrangler of WIPIN, in a joint statement. “It’s going to be three days of relationship and knowledge building that will pay dividends for three decades, or perhaps longer!”
Women pet professionals -- including those who are not yet in the industry and are poised to make an impact -- who want to be considered for one of three available WIPIN/Robin Samora Inc. scholarships are invited to submit an approximately 300-word essay that highlights:
• Their vision and how they see themselves making a difference in the pet industry
• How their contribution will give back to the community
• The positive impact that their work will have on other women
Essays must be emailed to Robin(at)robinsamorainc(dot)com by 11:59pm EDT Sunday, August 11. Successful applicants will be notified by 5:00pm EDT Wednesday, August 14. Selected essays may also be published (either whole or edited).
Each scholarship covers admission to the event and is valued at $499. Applicants will be responsible for travel, accommodation and other expenses.
