After watching her son battle a harrowing drug addiction, Peyton Pitt decided to pen her new autobiographical memoirDesperate Destruction” (published by WestBow Press).

Pitt says she watched her son slowly kill himself by way of a drug addiction that became hurtful to their family. She wanted to provide him help and guidance but always wondered what she would have to do and how that assistance would affect him.

She tried honest and open communication, but it did not stop her son from using drugs. So she immersed herself and her son in the Christian faith and began a journey of healing.

“Everyone has an addiction; some are deadly,” Pitt says. “I believe everyone at least knows someone who is facing the same situation. God can help you through anything if you trust Him.”
