London (PRWEB) March 12, 2015 -- Author, mother and business professor P.G. McGrath regales readers with her tales of struggling to survive a divorce as an expatriate American living in London with two small children in her new book, “The State of Grace: A mother’s plea for life balance” (published by Balboa Press).
Using humor and sometimes biting wit, McGrath brings her readers into her life as it was, sharing her time in the classroom, with her family and with her barrister. Like many women, she tried to balance it all: achieve her divorce and survive financially and physically. McGrath analyzes the challenges she faced in trying to be all things to all people.
“Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer, Sheryl Sandberg, tells women to ‘lean-in,’” McGrath says, “but like a lot of mothers, I found myself sometimes flat-out bent over with exhaustion trying to balance family, work, home and health. I couldn’t ‘lean-in’ anymore.”
McGrath hopes to entertain her readers with her story and tweets to inspire a new type of feminism where all parents, both mothers and fathers, get the support they need.
