Talented Photographer Xenia Mateiu Receives Photography Scholarship from Palomar College
Oceanside, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Xenia Mateiu, a young photography artist serving North County San Diego recently received Photography Scholarship from Palomar College where she competed with her Nature Portraits portfolio.
Palomar College has a wide range of scholarship programs for 2012-2013 among which the photography department scholarship won by the 26th years old artist who was awarded $500.
Her Nature Portraits portfolio admitted for the scholarship program was judged by the Photography Department Committee of Palomar College.
Her bold, modern combination of portraits and nature comes to show once again the importance of closeness between humans and nature. The expressiveness given by strong tree branches to human faces somehow succeed through her art to show the magnanimity of mankind.
Xenia Mateiu did not complete her Nature Portraits Portfolio. She has an ongoing project accessible on the website Photography by Xenia where subjects willing to participate as models are more than welcome to contact her.
“We are all part of nature. Nature Portraits has a highly experimental process, it is a double exposure process and most of the time the composition plays a big role in the images, special inspirations and motivations are different for every image.” – Xenia Mateiu.
Xenia Mateiu is part of RAW natural born artists, an independent art organization for artists from different fields.
The services offered by her include creative photography, wedding, maternity, boudoir and nude photography. She works both in studio and outdoors.

Xenia Mateiu is a passionate and creative photography artist. She is originally born in Romania currently residing in California. After graduating Babes-Bolyai University now she attends Palomar College for an Associate Degree in Photography. Her photography appeared in the “Enlightened lens” and in “Ripe”. She was published in Bravura Magazine.
