Manhattan Physical Therapy in NYC Begins Awareness Campaign for the Redcord Treatment Method
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 29, 2014 -- Manhattan Physical Therapy and Pain Center is pleased to employ the only 2 Redcord certified physical therapists in New York City. While the Redcord therapy has been in use for several years at Manhattan Physical Therapy helping patients achieve relief from chronic pain, the owners have recently decided to focus greater attention on the technique by launching an awareness campaign and featuring a video explaining the method prominently on their website home page.
The video posted to the home page of Manhattan Physical Therapy and Pain Center shares the details of a the physical therapy program called "Redcord." The Redcord treatment program is a fairly new discovery and represents a slight departure from more traditional physical therapy methods. Standard physical therapy methods attempt to relieve pain and promote healing by focusing treatment on regions of the body experiencing pain. The Redcord method is grounded in the idea that all parts of the body are connected and that pain in one part of the body may be caused by an injury in a different region. The Redcord treatment involves locating the injury--where ever that may be--then healing the body by working with muscles at the site of the injury.
The Redcord approach to physical therapy was developed by a Norwegian carpenter in the 1990's and later perfected by physical therapists. Originally called Neurac, Redcord's unconventional system relies primarily on the use of ropes and suspension cords.
In their online video, Manhattan Physical Therapy states that the Redcord treatment is fast and effective and that patients should feel improvement in just one visit. If these results are not achieved, Manhattan Physical Therapy will allow the patient to return for a free follow up visit. Manhattan Physical Therapy will work with insurance companies, and patients without insurance may be allowed to set up a payment plan that will work for them.
The Redcord treatment program is suitable for patients with a variety of conditions, including ankle sprains, back pain, shin splints, neck pain, tendonitis, rotator cuff injuries, herniated and slipped discs and others.
