Dr. Amy M. O’Donnell will be lending her 30-plus years of expertise in sports injury prevention and treatment, with a lecture at the Wilton Library in Wilton, CT on Tuesday, September 17th 2013.
Dr. O'Donnell, a board-certified Chiropractic Physician, provides physical therapy services with a focus on sports injuries to the Stamford and Greenwich, CT areas and beyond. Dr. O’Donnell harbors a passionate understanding of the causal relationship of injuries and their prevention, employing the newest research, techniques, and technology in her approaches to therapy. Once injuries are treated properly with her non-invasive techniques, Dr. O’Donnell turns her focus to injury prevention, empowering the athlete in their recovery and deterring future incidents.
With sports-related injuries on the rise, affecting athletes that are younger and younger, proper education on injury prevention and management is mandatory. Young athletes may be over-exercised and under-trained, resulting in a higher risk for injuries. Young girls are especially at risk for injury, improper treatment may often go ignored, leading to larger issues.
