Dr. Jeffrey Kenkel and the Department of Plastic Surgery Host Spring Open House
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) May 18, 2014 -- Dallas plastic surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Kenkel, and the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center will host a unique spring open house on Thursday, May 22, 2014 in the UT Southwestern Plastic Surgery Clinic from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event, which is open to the public, will explore current trends in cosmetic medicine and offer prospective patients the opportunity to ask questions about some of the newest and most innovative treatments currently available. Dr. Jeffrey Kenkel will host an open Q&A with other UT Southwestern plastic surgeons. While the panel will focus on the latest innovations in plastic surgery and new, non-invasive technologies, traditional surgeries such as tummy tucks and other body contouring surgeries will also be discussed.
Guests will receive a complimentary consultation with a UT Southwestern plastic surgeon and VIP discounts on dermal fillers, skin care products, and other treatments including Ultherapy, which provides skin tightening using ultrasonic waves, CoolSculpting, which can remove fat cells by lowering their temperature, and laser skin resurfacing, which can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the skin.
"We don't perform extreme makeover surgery," says Dr. Kenkel, who is currently serving as Vice-Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery, "Many of these treatments offer gradual and incremental improvement." Dr. Kenkel sees the open house as a chance to candidly discuss topics that are often plagued by misinformation and stereotype. "I really enjoy outreach events like this and I think they are important because we can meet directly with potential patients and communicate objective data about these novel procedures," he explains.
The Open House is part of a series of events held throughout the year in which the UT Southwestern plastic surgery faculty share information on current surgery options and non-invasive treatments in plastic surgery and shed light on the misconceptions commonly associated with cosmetic medicine.
The event is free to attend, however, space is limited. RSVP by May 20, 2014 by calling 214-645-3774 or e-mailing events(at)utsouthwestern(dot)edu.
