In shipbuilding, offshore platform construction, and steel fabrication projects, maintaining the integrity of pneumatic tubing is essential. At Production Fastening Systems, LLC (PFS), we now offer easy-to-install, corrosion-resistant stud mount SLP pneumatic tube supports in conjunction with the Tube Separation Assembly (T-SEP™) to ensure that your tubing systems are protected at all times.
Our SLP tapped tube supports fasten to 3/8-16 studs. The tube alignment section of the T-SEP™ Assembly is pre-mounted to the SLP and can support pneumatic tubing sized 1/4" through 1". The T-SEP™ Assembly, PFS's one-of-a-kind pneumatic tube separation assembly, is designed to maintain a 3/16” separation within pneumatic tube delivery systems while still significantly reducing the opportunity for crevice corrosion.
Traditionally, parallel runs of pneumatic tubing have been separated through the use of “saddles" or “notching”—a method that is effective in terms of keeping the tubing spaced evenly apart, but allows corrosive elements to gather at the points of separation or beneath the tubing. The T-SEP™ Assembly's unique design allows those elements to escape the tubing before corrosion can develop.
The T-SEP™ partnered with the easy mounting ability of the SLP pneumatic tube supports makes for an efficient solution for properly mounting, aligning, and separating pneumatic tube runs in harsh environments.
Ordering SLP Pneumatic Tube Supports is easy, as PFS has developed six generic part #’s for each of its five types (SLP-2, SLP-3, SLP-4, SLP-6, & SLP-8). PFS also maintains an efficient stock to ensure quick turnarounds for all sizes SLP’s and all diameter tubes.
Detailed drawings of all 30 scenarios can be found on the PFS website. See table below for max configurations of all SLPs and all tube diameter scenarios.
