Portland Fitness Center to Host Fitness Fundraiser for Philippine Typhoon Relief Effort

The Portland fitness center, Fit Body Boot Camp, announces plans to host a fitness fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds going to support Philippine typhoon relief effort.

In the wake of a disaster such as this, the most beneficial action that we, as individuals, can take is to pray for those affected and to donate to the organizations that are equipped to deal with natural disasters and catastrophes of this scale.

Inspired by the recent super typhoon that devastated the Philippines, the Portland fitness center known as Fit Body Boot Camp announces plans to support ongoing relief effort by hosting a fitness fundraiser designed to help the community get fit while raising money for the organization UNICEF, whose first priority is to provide life-saving interventions to children and their families such as medicines, nutrition, and safe water during the aftermath of the storm.

Those who want to participate in Portland Fit Body Boot Camp’s typhoon relief fundraiser can do so by registering for the 14 Day Fat Furnace for a $67 donation, which includes boot camp sessions and a meal plan to help ensure maximum fat loss for the two week period, and/or join in on the Portland boot camp’s special “Bootcamp Relief” workout on Saturday, the 16th at 7:00 am and 8:00 am for a drop-in donation of $10 to $20. Portland Fit Body Boot Camp has also agreed to match any donation made to UNICEF during their Saturday workout to make sure that the organization has the biggest donation possible.

Owner and operator of the Portland Fit Body Boot Camp, local fitness expert Emily Johnson, says that she was compelled to launch multiple fundraising efforts because the devastation that the super typhoon caused has left many children and their families without basic supplies.

She explains, “In the wake of a disaster such as this, the most beneficial action that we, as individuals, can take is to pray for those affected and to donate to the organizations that are equipped to deal with natural disasters and catastrophes of this scale.”

Portland Fit Body Boot Camp can be found at their 3228 SE 21st Avenue, Portland, OR 97202, studio and is open five days a week with boot camp sessions being held Monday through Friday (excluding Wednesdays) at 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, and on Saturday at 7 am, 8 am.
