CLEVELAND, Aug. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Donald Miller debuts his historical fiction, "Power and Passion," (published by Archway Publishing), described as an epic of the 1960s. Diane Howard, descendant of abolitionist O.O. Howard, tries to resolve current issues of Jim Crow left from the Civil War. In doing so, she feels she lived a past life during that age of "Power and Passion".
Miller was part of an anti-war demonstration at Kent State University, May 4, 1970 when four students, two of whom he knew, were killed. Realizing that was where the '60s found its watershed, a more comprehensive novel needed to be penned.
"Even though Vietnam and civil rights were divisive, the central theme of this novel is amazingly one of reconciliation. Diane's radical politics will find common ground with her Republican father in a way that is astonishing!" Miller stated.
Miller stated that his novel is an echo of the contemporary generation's civil rights struggle involved with the women's #MeToo movement, Black Lives Matter, and the LGBTQ community. To know more about the story purchase the book https://www.amazon.com/Power-Passion-Epic-Novel-1960s/dp/1480876542/.
