Presagia Launches Groundbreaking New Version of Its Cloud-Based ADA Solution
MINNEAPOLIS, MN (PRWEB) May 02, 2017 -- Presagia, the industry leader of cloud-based leave management and accommodation solutions, has released a new version of Presagia ADA. The solution addresses a major compliance concern for employers, that of adhering to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the ADAAA Amendments Act of 2008, and the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission’s guidance pieces on the laws. This announcement comes as Presagia exhibits at the 2017 DMEC Compliance Conference, the foremost industry event on ADA compliance and a natural location for the occasion.
Working with forward-thinking employers and industry leaders, Presagia has developed a highly sophisticated cloud-based solution for employers to efficiently and consistently manage the interactive accommodation process. Intuitive workflow automation supported with tasks, reminders, wizards and letters, guides users through the system and provides them with legal and industry best-practices at every step.
“One of the most complex issues employers face when dealing with accommodations is in describing essential functions in a manner that can be effectively used within the interactive process,” states David Glickman, CEO of Presagia. “Presagia ADA will resolve that and a number of associated operational issues by guiding employers on how to appropriately engage their employees in the interactive process.”
Presagia ADA provides an integrated case management system that contains all of the features Presagia brought to its industry-leading leave management solution: automated workflow, automated letter generation, extensive journalling and audit capabilities, and full reporting. This latest version of Presagia ADA focuses on adding automation and decision support to the accommodation process, while still respecting the need to treat each case individually. Enhancements include simplified definition, capture and reporting of essential functions, more straightforward means to analyze the impact of restrictions, and workflow that walks employers through the key steps for evaluating and proposing accommodations.
“During our redesign of Presagia ADA, we solicited input from a wide variety of industry experts,” explains Allan Compagnon, Director of Operations at Presagia. “We consulted with leaders in vocational rehabilitation, ADA, return to work, disability, workers’ compensation, healthcare and even a variety of employees who had been through the interactive process, in an effort to isolate and reduce the complexity of maintaining a fair and compliant accommodation process based on best practices. We are very happy with the initial feedback we’ve received and look forward to sharing this approach with the industry.”
Presagia ADA can be implemented as a standalone system or alongside Presagia Leave, with which it shares its technology platform. The ability to implement these tools together represents a fully integrated leave management and accommodation solution through which employers can easily perform functions like transitioning an FMLA case to “leave as a reasonable accommodation” under the ADA. This represents the next step in accommodation management and has the capacity to turn something that is very difficult to manage into a valuable program for both employers and their employees.
Presagia ADA will be available to all employers shortly - reach out today to learn more.
