Redesigned, American-made 2014 Highlander Arrives at Prestige Toyota
Ramsey, N.J. (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- Executives at Prestige Toyota welcomed customers and on-lookers alike to the dealership to see the updated, American-built Toyota Highlander, which has been re-imagined with a sleek new look for 2014. The staff at Prestige is excited to begin delivering the all-new SUV to customers, who have been eagerly awaiting its release since the new design was revealed in March 2013. All Highlander SUVs are manufactured at Toyota’s plant in Princeton, Ind., which will also export Highlanders to 12 countries around the world. This clearly makes the Toyota brand not only good for American drivers, but great for American jobs and for the economy.
With a bold, aggressive appearance, a host of standard features, and improved cargo capacity, the new Highlander offers more style, comfort and utility than ever before. Customers can choose between three dynamic powertrains: an efficient four-cylinder engine that achieves 25 mpg highway, a powerful V6 (with a new six-speed transmission) that generates 270 horsepower and 248 lbs.-feet of torque, and a V6-powered Hybrid Synergy Drive that delivers fewer emissions and a segment-leading 28 mpg highway. Currently, only gas-powered models are available, with the Highlander Hybrid slated to arrive in mid-February of 2014.
The base-level Highlander LE comes with an impressive array of standard features, including 18-inch alloy wheels, Entune Audio with a 6.1-inch touchscreen, an integrated backup camera, heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, an in-dash shelf with easy access to power and USB ports, a windshield wiper de-icer, and much more. Available upgrades include a pre-collision system with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with automatic high beam headlights, a panoramic moonroof, a heated steering wheel, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.
“The Highlander has been a favorite among our customers for a number of years because it’s a roomy and versatile family SUV,” said Steve Reedy, the general sales manager at Prestige Toyota. “For 2014, Toyota has given customers even more of a good thing by adding room for an eighth passenger. The bold, updated styling on this vehicle is sure to make it a popular choice for years to come. We can’t wait for our customers to come in and see it in person.”
The Highlander is the fourth redesigned vehicle to be added to Toyota’s 2014 lineup, joining the Corolla, Tundra, and 4Runner. Every new Toyota vehicle comes with ToyotaCare, a no cost maintenance plan with roadside assistance that covers everyone who buys a new Toyota for 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Highlander lease specials are available on remaining 2013 models, starting at $259 per month for 36 months with $2,599 due at signing.
