Prime Advantage Recognized for Innovation in Procurement by Two Leading Industry Organizations
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 02, 2014 -- Prime Advantage, the leading buying consortium for midsized manufacturers, was named to the 12th annual Supply and Demand Chain Executive 100, highlighting exceptional supply chain projects. This is the sixth consecutive time that Prime Advantage has been recognized on the SDCE 100.
“Our goal with this year's '100' is to put the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that are delivering bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across the different functions that comprise the supply chain,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive.
Prime Advantage was selected for its ability to help a member company form collaborative relationships with new suppliers of direct and indirect goods and services. This project helped the member company roll out a new product marketing strategy and to grow profit margins on a high-volume product line.
And for the second year in a row, the Prime Advantage Conference was named a Finalist in the Expo EXCITE Awards, in the category of Best Buyer-Seller Event. The Prime Advantage Conference won this award in 2013. The Expo EXCITE Awards recognize outstanding innovation among corporations, agencies, not-for-profits, and industry suppliers across 25 categories of tradeshows, exhibitions and conferences. Prime Advantage holds two semi-annual conferences each year, bringing its members and endorsed suppliers together for one-on-one meetings, sharing of best practices, and educational sessions.
“We’re extremely honored to be recognized by Supply and Demand Chain as well as EXPO for the continued value we deliver to our Members and Endorsed Suppliers,” said Louise O’Sullivan, president and CEO of Prime Advantage. “I’m proud of our team and what we’ve accomplished. The honor of these distinctions is shared with our loyal Members and our world-class Endorsed Suppliers. Their dedication to and support of our mission helps drive our success.”
Through combining the purchasing power of more than 750 industrial manufacturers, Prime Advantage delivers reduced costs on direct and indirect goods and services and access to best-in-class suppliers.
In the past ten years, Prime Advantage has paid more than $146 million in rebates and discounts to its manufacturing industry members.
