Le French Book, which focuses on bringing France’s top mysteries and thrillers to a broader audience of readers across the English-speaking world, has chosen Ingram Publisher Services for its print program.
“Now that our e-book program is running smoothly, it is time we get our books into print,” says founder Anne Trager. “We are translating prizewinning, international bestsellers that are in English for the first time. They are great stories with pace, suspense and good writing, along with that additional je ne sais quoi that makes us all dream about Paris. We want to make sure that all readers, whatever their preferred format, can get their hands on them.”
Le French Book says that its goal is to expand a book’s reach, not choose between digital and paper. For Le French Book, e-books pave the way to all other formats.
For Trager, “The combination of Ingram’s integrated print and digital services, along with its extensive distribution network and long-standing bookseller relationships will help us drive sales and reach more readers. On the French side, we’re working with major publishers to find titles that fit our mission of bringing entertaining and gripping reads across the cultural divide. So on the American side, it is very important for us to have an ally with Ingram’s experience and reach.”
Ingram Publisher Services is handling sales and distribution of Le French Book’s titles in the United States and Canada, and will begin distributing them on November 24. Le French Book’s first print books are planned for release in spring and summer 2014, and will include some of its current e-titles, as well as some new books.
