Simi Valley Police Shoot Man After He Allegedly Kills His Own Mother and Prisneyland.com Breaks the News
Simi Valley, CA (PRWEB) August 25, 2013 -- Look out lawbreakers, Prisneyland.com is back! The well known crime reporting website roared back to life following a brief hiatus yesterday when they broke news about a murder and officer involved shooting in Simi Valley, CA.
According to a numerous sources and a story in [oday’s LA Times , 29-year-old Ryan Carnan was shot and killed by Simi Valley police officers after he allegedly shot his mother and set the family home ablaze.
While the story and all of its details are making the headlines today - Prisneyland was the first news agency to break news of the shooting. While traditional news agencies were scrambling to gather facts, Prisneyland was able to ascertain the names of the suspect and victim as well as information surrounding the tragic events.
“Our local sources really shined on this one,” said Prisneyland producer Paul Stanley. “Simi Valley is such a small town that everybody seems to know everybody somehow. Once we started asking around it was pretty easy to gather all of the facts from the crowd on the ground.”
Prisneyland is known for their grassroots methods of gathering information that the bigger news agencies just don’t have access to - sometimes too much information. “You walk a tough line in a tragic event like this shooting. While we did report the names and a couple of small details – we were able to gather a treasure trove of information that we did not feel comfortable publishing.” Stanley says. “I’m sure it will all come out eventually but we decided that out of respect, now is not the time.” A stance that easily explains the lack of updates on the original Prisneyland story.
