With Project Sierra, consumers can feel secure while browsing the internet and not have to worry about their personal information being recorded.

Simplified Network Solutions, LLC has launched a 30-day crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to seek funding for its network encryption device, Project Sierra. This device will protect a consumer’s personal information online and allow them to browse the internet anonymously by concealing the local IP address and only allowing the Project Sierra server IP to be shown.

While constantly being “connected” offers many benefits, there are also risks. Project Sierra will minimize these risks by making the same security that has been available to technology-savvy internet users for years easily and readily available to the everyday consumer with no prior experience with encryption.

Project Sierra is unique compared to other encryption services on the market today because it is a separate device that simply plugs into a modem- no additional downloads are needed. Once connected to the Project Sierra network, the data from any device connected to the local network will be protected from traffic analysis.

“Consumers should have the freedom to browse whatever site they choose without being fearful that someone is monitoring their every move,” says Cox. “People are often unaware of just how much of their data is being monitored and recorded by third parties – this includes location, search histories, spending habits, webcam access, online behaviors and more. With Project Sierra, consumers can feel secure while browsing the internet and not have to worry about their personal information being recorded.”

Kerry Cox Jr., the owner and developer of Project Sierra has set the Kickstarter funding goal at $150,000. Early backers can pre-order their own Project Sierra device and network subscription for $149 for a limited time. Once the campaign reaches its fundraising goal, Cox will move forward with production and release Project Sierra to the market. Once on the market, Project Sierra will range in price from $249 -$299.
