Noted Psychiatrist and Addiction Specialist Joins Promises Austin
Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- Craig Franke, MD, will join Promises Austin, a holistic addiction treatment center just outside of Austin, Texas, in mid-July. His team will include a 24-hour nursing staff, doctorate-level psychologist, nutritionist and clinically trained therapists, among others.
Board certified in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, Dr. Franke previously served as medical director for a nonprofit residential addiction treatment center in Austin, and also served as the medical director for Promises Austin. As soon as Dr. Franke’s path brought him back to the Austin area, he pursued re-engaging with his former position.

His work experience includes a successful tenure at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he was medical director of the facility’s alcohol and drug dependency treatment program as well as senior staff physician in psychiatry. Dr. Franke was also an assistant professor at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, where he directed courses in substance abuse disorders to residents and fourth-year medical students.
