Releases Proof-of-Display for Digital Signage Advertisers

Proof-of-display helps provide a secondary layer on top of traditional proof-of-play by giving advertisers actual real-life footage of a specific public digital signage display screen in action.

With proof-of-display, MediaSignage is finally providing a real-life solution to certifying the location of an installed public digital signage screen. With proof-of-display, a camera is installed at a distance from the digital signage screen. The camera snaps images of the installed screen at random times and analyzes a unique pattern to confirm the screen is running when and where it is supposed to. This gives screen managers the unique ability to provide advertisers with a proof-of-display certification that can be cross-referenced with their proof-of-play report. In other words, advertising agencies can now receive real assurance that their ads ran when and where they were supposed to. It also provides a time-stamped snapshot of the display and the campaign together, giving further assurances of advertisement playback. This newly released certification system works with nearly any compatible IP-connected camera. The camera is connected directly to the screen of choice from within the MediaSignage, SignageStudio, the company’s free cloud-based digital signage solution. From the Studio, both advertisers and screen owners are able to export data, including actual screenshots, providing a detailed report of the screen’s playback performance.
