National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei has long been recognized as one of the most elite universities in Taiwan. It started out in 1946 as an institution to provide education for teachers. NTNU later became a comprehensive or “normal” university. Although the university was first founded just a few decades ago, it is now internationally known, particularly for its Mandarin Training Center, an internationally renowned program for Mandarin Chinese study.
As National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei approaches its 70th anniversary in 2016, the leadership of the university is in the process of strategically positioning the university to fit among the best universities in Asia. Dr. Keith J. Roberts, Vice President of Academic Partnerships at professional proofreading and academic editing powerhouse TotalEdit.com, was invited to present strategies for the future and suggest concrete initiatives to meet those strategies.
“A successful strategic planning initiative is central for National Taiwan Normal University to continue to climb in international prestige and recognition, especially with in the prominent international ranking systems,” Dr. A.J. Michaels, President and CEO of TotalEdit.com, has stated. “Dr. Roberts is the ideal person to present on strategic planning processes and how NTNU leadership, faculty members, and students will benefit from the new initiative.”
Keith Roberts presented these initiatives and strategies to leadership and officials at Taiwan Normal University on March 21, 2014.
