Protect America, Inc. Announces Partnership with the University of Florida and Bread of the Mighty Food Bank
Gainesville, FL (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- National home security company Protect America has announced its joint partnership with the University of Florida and participation in the charitable Pay It Forward program. The Company and University have joined together to help charities in Gainesville, Florida in a unique way. Pay It Forward spans the entire spring semester at the University of Florida, beginning in January and ending in May.
The Pay It Forward program is a philanthropic campaign funded and created by Protect America to aid local charities in university communities. University communications students, under the council of professors and Protect America marketing staff, are tasked with creating design work, social media strategy, public relations, advertising, or any communications tasks needed by the charities. This year, University of Florida staff have chosen Bread of the Mighty Food Bank as their nonprofit client. Bread of the Mighty is a large food bank distributing millions of meals to food pantries each year in Florida. Protect America representatives will travel to Gainesville in mid-April to attend the final presentations as well as meet the students and Bread of the Mighty representatives.
“Everyone is a winner,” says Protect America President Scott Fleming. “Charities, who might not otherwise be able to afford it, receive help with their creative and communication needs. At the same time - university students create real work for their personal portfolios, which makes them more marketable in their job searches after graduation. University of Florida students are creative, innovative, and produce exceptional work: which is an important factor in choosing partners for this project. The University of Florida passionately shares the benefits of its research and knowledge for the public good, and we’re happy to join them in this effort.”
Protect America, a national home security and home automation corporation, strives to improve the quality of home and life. The company also wishes to help the next generation of professionals while aiding charities and nonprofits around the country.
