Serious buyer, Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, announces his search for vintage 1968 Dail W. Beeghly psychedelic Maryland concert posters. Beeghly was an early psychedelic concert poster artist who produced memorable artwork for top rock concerts. According to Hawley, “Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Janis Joplin and other top 1960's rock n roll acts played in Washington D.C. and Baltimore Maryland areas. Rock concert posters were the main way in which these concerts were advertised. Dail Beeghly owned a poster printing company called Creative Signs and was the creator of some the areas most interesting psychedelic work of the 1960's. What made Beeghly's work different from other artists was his ability to blend the psychedelic graphics of a poster with the venue information. The information on the poster was still readable and helpful for advertising purposes. He used garish colors and the large 22 x 28 inch format to make his work stick out.” For examples of Beeghly work, please visit http://www.vintageconcertposterbuyer.com/psychedelic/jimi_hendrix.html.
