researchers and scientists can handle skill on making interpretation in common experimental designs
Hong Kong (PRWEB) May 06, 2014
“How to find Inter-Groups Differences Using SPSS/Excel/Web Tools In Common Experimental Designs” reveals author PY Cheng’s desire to always want to share to his laboratory colleagues his decades of experience of running statistical software, in his environment that most experimental designs are common ones e.g. completely randomized, block, aXb factorial etc. Researchers with some background of running surveys or experiments would be very interested in this book.
There are two main purposes as to why Cheng created this book. The first one is to skip the complicated theories behind the statistical tests and just show users how to solve typical problems with computer clearly, so that they can handle the necessary skill for solving problems at the first time, without hesitating the difficult explanations with the theories. The second one is to show how free software (e.g. Excel), in additional to a few simple manual steps, can work out same results output of expensive software (e.g. SPSS). This might be the most valuable part of the book, since Cheng can hardly find similar materials in other sources, especially on the two-way analysis he worked out all the SPSS correspondence with Excel etc. all by himself.
Cheng hopes that through “How to find Inter-Groups Differences Using SPSS/Excel/Web Tools In Common Experimental Designs,” researchers and scientists can handle skill on making interpretation in common experimental designs as soon as possible so they will get the correct interpretation even if they have not much interest in the theories behind the running of the computer process. It helps them to get the same correct statistical results with Excel etc. instead of a “must” of buying expensive software.

About the Author
PY Cheng has completed his First Degree and Master Degree respectively in the University of Hong Kong. He has completed a ‘Master of Public Health’ with major in Medical Statistical that made him aware that how hard he has to work to understand the statistical topics. So, one of the main purposes of writing this book is to share his painful experience with researchers and scientists so that they need not, like him, waste so much time on learning to run statistical test correctly.
