QDiscovery today announced the launch of QMobile Insight, a revolutionary new approach to analysis and review of mobile device data, including texts, chats and call logs, in Relativity, kCura’s eDiscovery software.

Demand for mobile device data is increasing in litigation and investigations. As mobile data volumes grow, legal professionals and computer forensic experts must review and analyze communications from many different channels and devices, which can be complex and cumbersome. Mobile data has been available only in spreadsheets and pdfs, requiring significant manual work by litigation support professionals and attorneys.

QMobile Insight offers a new approach to handling mobile device data that leverages the full capabilities of eDiscovery review and analysis in Relativity. QMobile Insight standardizes and integrates data from mobile devices, so attorneys and litigation support professionals can review the information all together in Relativity, instead of separate spreadsheets and pdfs. It allows them to use Relativity’s analytics features, like email threading and data visualizations, to identify patterns in conversations and see how conversations move between communication channels. Recognizing these patterns could be key to identifying critical evidence.

“We’ve seen our clients struggle to effectively review texts, chats and other data found on cell phones,” says David Barrett, CEO of QDiscovery. “We have a very collaborative culture here at QDiscovery; QMobile Insight is the direct result of two teams – forensics and project management – coming together and applying their unique skill sets jointly to meet a real client challenge. We’re excited to build on the capabilities of Relativity with a new tool for our clients, making texts as easy to review as emails.”

Whether its litigation, information governance, a government request or an internal investigation, Relativity provides organizations with a complete set of flexible tools to tackle their unique challenges through every phase of a project. As a platform, Relativity allows developer partners like QDiscovery to design, build and integrate applications that extend its functionality.

QMobile Insight is now part of the Relativity Ecosystem, which includes applications and integrations built by Relativity developer partners.

“Communications media is constantly evolving, which can present a host of legal challenges for organizations,” said Perry Marchant, vice president of engineering at kCura. “By integrating tools like QMobile Insight into Relativity, we can further simplify and accelerate eDiscovery by offering our users an easy way to review and analyze many kinds of mobile data. We’re excited to welcome QMobile Insight to the Relativity Ecosystem.”
