Qualidigm Finalizes Merger with Maine Quality Counts Expanding its Presence as a Leading Healthcare Quality Improvement Consulting Company in New England
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (PRWEB) December 13, 2018 -- Qualidigm, the mission-driven, national healthcare consulting think tank based in Wethersfield, Conn., and Maine Quality Counts, a regional health improvement company located in Manchester, Maine, are pleased to announce the official merger of the two organizations, effective January 1, 2019. Previously, the two companies announced an intent-to-merge in June 2018 with a stated completion date of August 1, 2019. As part of each company’s respective governance process, the Maine Quality Counts board ratified the merger agreement on November 7 and the Qualidigm board ratified the final version at its Annual Meeting on December 12. As a result of each board’s decision, the merger will be completed seven months ahead of schedule and will expand dramatically each organization's presence across New England to create a leading healthcare consulting company dedicated to quality improvement services.
With over 50 years of combined experience, the synergy between Maine Quality Counts and Qualidigm provides the capacity to lead and deliver comprehensive, cost-effective, coordinated healthcare quality improvement services across New England and the country through one unified organization. Qualidigm President and CEO, Dr. Timothy Elwell, will assume leadership for the combined entity effective January 1, 2019.
