Family owned and operated, Quality Meat Market strives to bring good tidings this holiday season to their customers, by not only combating the 11% increase in pork products that came about as a result of the June-August porcine virus, but by dropping the price by 30% permanently on their pork products.

According to a recent USA Today article, the June-August virus wiped out entire litters at a time, severely lowering the amount of available porcine provisions. As a result of the federal government issuing a vaccine and ensuring better health protocols and due to the swift reaction time companies had and the warmer weather, the virus is all but gone and the number of pigs being born is on the rise. In fact, Iowa, which is one of the nation’s leading producers in pork products, has reported 5.46 million baby pigs being born just between this June and August.

Pig farmers are being cautious about potential outbreaks, but are confident that even if it were to return, it would be nowhere near as severe as it’s first go around and that they would be able to eradicate it much more quickly.

Quality Meat Market’s owner, David Frese understands that with the holidays around the corner people are already spending exorbitant amounts on meal ingredients alone, and he hopes to alleviate his customers of some of the financial strain.

“This has been our favorite meat market for thirty years and counting. We have never gotten bad meat there, and we have never found comparable prices anywhere else,” said Lisa (a regular customer). “We have now lived in several different places in Florida much farther away from Quality Meat Market than we once did, and in every location we have been willing to travel there to stock up on our meats. The prices are amazing, and the quality is above anything we’ve ever found. Definitely worth the drive.”

Quality Meat Market is located at 4020 Orient Rd in Tampa, Florida. For more information, please visit http://www.qualitymeatstampa.com or call 813-626-1703.
