Determination, Faith Led Couple Past Adversity to Happiness
HAMILTON, Ohio (PRWEB) August 19, 2016 -- When Rachel G. Carrington and her sisters made an effort to reconnect later in life, she was asked to tell her story. Enraptured, Carrington’s sisters hung on to every word and eventually suggested she record her story. “The Early Years: A Memoir: Book 1” (published by iUniverse) is Carrington’s response, for which she is making a new marketing push.
“My story starts in my early teenage years, then into my high school era coupled with an offer of a lucrative, all-inclusive scholarship, and my arrival at the crossroads of my life that turned me in a very different direction,” she explains.
Foregoing her scholarship after meeting a returning World War II veteran, Carrington shares the couple’s struggle to be together as they overcame hardship and continued to climb the steep road before them. With God’s help, the two found love and made it work, despite everything in their way.
“Many rewards await those who honestly strive for a better life,” Carrington says, “and, if there is a partner involved, be certain the teamwork is there and, that both have the same goal in mind.”
