Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 18, 2014
On March 13, 2014, co-hosts Lee Kantor and Stone Payton of BusinessRadioX®'s Atlanta Technology Leaders sat down with Blake Patton, founder of Tech Square Ventures.
Blake Patton is a technology entrepreneur and investor with 20 years of experience in startup, venture backed, and publicly traded internet, software, payments, and financial services companies.
Patton founded Tech Square Ventures, a seed and early stage venture fund based in Technology Square in Atlanta. According to Patton, "We invest in innovative technology startups in the Southeast that have the potential to transform their markets."
Tech Square Ventures partners with entrepreneurs building startups in sectors that leverage the strengths of the Southeast and area research universities. Their primary areas of interest are information technology and connectivity.
"We invest in seed and early stage technology startups led by visionary entrepreneurs," said Patton. "The fund seeks opportunities to invest in the first round after friends and family and will often co-invest with other investors."
Prior to founding Tech Square Ventures, Patton was General Manager of the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) at Georgia Tech – recently named by Forbes as one of the “Top 12 Incubators Changing the World."
Patton currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta CEO Council and Venture Atlanta and is a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Industry Fellow.
