BusinessRadioX®'s Silver Lining in the Cloud Spotlights Jess Parsons White With Good Measure Meals
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- On February 19, 2014, co-hosts Dominick Rainey and Nikole Toptas of BusinessRadioX®'s Silver Lining in the Cloud sat down with Jess Parsons White from Good Measure Meals to talk about nutrition education.
Jess Parsons White is Senior Vice President of Good Measure Meals, started in 2004 as the Social Enterprise of Atlanta nonprofit Open Hand. According to White, "From the beginning our goal was to provide fresh, ready-to-eat, healthy meal plans that are portion- and calorie-controlled and, of course, delicious. But our purpose has always been to provide financial support for Open Hand so they could continue to expand their community nutrition programs."
100% of the net proceeds from the sale of Good Measure Meals go directly to Open Hand which supports its mission of providing healthy meals and nutrition education programs at no cost to the underserved and chronically ill in the community.
Good Measure Meals has grown to include more than providing meals that are convenient and designed to help customers manage their weight and certain chronic illnesses, such as Type 2 Diabetes. "We have expanded our reach into the community and developed nutrition education programs for people in all stages of life in an attempt to provide the necessary tools for self-management of diet," said White.
