“Nearly all the ideas of the book have been carried out for tolerance and mutual trust, inherent in world’s all religions,” he says.

Following his five-year work experience as chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Work with Religious Associations, Rafig Y. Aliyev releases his new book, “Power, Society and Religion” (published by Trafford Publishing).
In “Power, Society and Religion,” the scholar of religious studies takes a groundbreaking approach to how public life should be viewed. In the book, Aliyev argues that the three vital components of public life – power, society and religion – not only interact, but are also interdependent and intercorporated. Aliyev goes on to explain how these deep-laid relations represent logical bases in the balance of power in society.
The book, notes Aliyev, provides a new approach to issues of religion in society.
“Nearly all the ideas of the book have been carried out for tolerance and mutual trust, inherent in world’s all religions,” he says. “Man needs religion as a way to regulate his negative emotions, being guided by points of religion as a part of life. This book gives an idea of the role and place of religion in people’s relations in society, presenting power, society and religion as an important factor of stability in society.”
