"We identified FirstService as a leader in the property management service sector with expertise in providing solutions and best-in-class services that will further enhance our lifestyle and values at Rarity Bay," said Board Member Ed Harless.

FirstService Residential, formerly known in Tennessee as Community One Associates, has recently entered into a management partnership with Rarity Bay, an active lifestyle, master-planned community in East Tennessee. Located on 10 miles of Lake Tellico’s shoreline in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Rarity Bay features such amenities as an 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse, first-class equestrian center and riding trails, swimming pool and tennis courts, walking trails, activities center and dog park.

This community currently features over 400 homes comprised of custom homes, condominiums and villas. Ensuing development will eventually yield over 1,100 homes and managing this growth requires additional operational services. FirstService can cost effectively provide day-to- day management services and meet the business needs as the community continues to expand.

Board Vice President, Ed Harless, stated that, “as a ‘new’ all resident board, we examined the advantages of contracting a professional property management company to manage the day-to-day operations of our community which would enable the board to focus on governance and strategic planning. The Board would then be able to achieve the goal of continuous community improvement and growth. After several months of screening property management companies the board selected FirstService.”

An established property management company, FirstService Residential’s association management experience spans over 25 years and includes homeowners’, garden-style, property owners’ and high-rise condominium associations throughout Georgia and Tennessee.

"FirstService Residential is honored to partner with Rarity Bay,” said Matt Phillips, President of FirstService Residential Georgia and Tennessee. “We have been impressed with everything about the community, from the beautiful lake and mountain views, to the professionalism of the board members and their commitment to Rarity Bay. We know that we will create a strong partnership and bring real value through our services.”
