Read About How Everyone Has A Plan And A Purpose in H.A. Pruitt's New Book, Anelthalien
Not many people know what their purpose is, but what happens when an opportunity arrives in the most unexpected way? In H.A. Pruitt's Anelthalien, readers enter a world unlike the one they know and join a group of teenagers who were chosen for a task much larger than themselves.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., Dec. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Anelthalien is H.A. Pruitt's newest work set in a fictional land of the same name; a place filled with wonder, magic, and danger. Centered on a group of teens from drastically different backgrounds and personalities, the book immerses readers into an unexpected journey with its protagonists. Kindle, Andrew, Ella, and Tad are thrown together to navigate the land of Anelthalien in the hopes of returning home. However, they eventually learn that the salvation or destruction of Anelthalien falls in their hands.
Kindle is a freshman who struggles to fit in with her peers and desires social acceptance. While hiding from her little brother's birthday party near her home, she finds a strange necklace up a tree, and she is transported to an unknown land upon wearing it. Andrew is a studious eighth grader who prefers the company of books over people. After a violent encounter with a bully, he picks up a strange necklace on the sidewalk and is transported to Anelthalien.
Meanwhile, a young man named Tad spends his days wishing his miserable life would completely change. By some strange coincidence, he picks up a peculiar necklace on a beach and is brought to a world where he must overcome his fear, anger, and distrust of others. Ella, a compassionate and patient young woman who works as a barmaid at the Lighthouse, her father's inn. Unlike the other heroes, she is the only one who lives in Anelthalien and is familiar with some of the legends of the land. However, her knowledge of Anelthalien is also limited as she wasn't aware of her necklace's potential until she is magically transported to Danica Woods.
"If you leave now and refuse this responsibility, people could die," Ella—the only one of the heroes who is from Anelthalien—calls out Tad and his disregard for the new, unknown land around him. "You have some purpose here, and it very likely ties to the fate of some of Anelthalien…. This is my home, and I would be grateful if you stayed to help it before you go back to yours."
The heroes encounter and befriend colorful characters who guide them on their journey. They meet the Cifra, a race of human-sized, insect-like creatures, who tell them the stories behind the jewels on their necklaces. They also meet the Chokmahs, farmers who welcome them into their home. The Chokmahs care for the four teens and train them to prepare for their journey to the city of Letum where they hope to save Anelthalien from the dark forces planning to conquer it.
Before seeing the teens off, the kind Chokmahs remind them of the true challenge they must overcome: convincing others to believe in Anelthaien's past which has been forgotten. Through this, H.A. Pruitt's book shows the challenge of accepting one's purpose, which is not about taking on an exciting journey but the battling against personal wants, fears, and agendas to instead stand for truth in a world of apathy and ignorance. "Your arrival is the sign that the current thousand years is drawing to a close and a new evil king is preparing to take the throne…. If you tell no one of this coming fate, they will do nothing to guard against it and will be annihilated in their apathetic ignorance."
