The John Herman Team is pleased to release the latest real estate performance review results for homes in Barrington Hills for the month of July 2013. This month’s performance results shows an increase in the number of closed sales in this community, the median sales price, and the market time for homes sold.
The number of closed sales has doubled this month, increasing from four closed sales in July 2012 to eight closed sales in July 2013. This is good news for the real estate market in Barrington Hills, as is the steady increase in the median sales price. The median sales price has steadily increased over the past three years, as this figure went from $452,500 in July 2011 to $590,000 in July 2012 to $614,750 in July 2013.
While the number of closed sales has increased, the Illinois real estate performance review revealed a slight drop in the number of homes for sale. The number of homes for sales went from 112 homes in July 2012 to 111 homes in July 2013. In addition, the number of new listings for this month has also fallen, decreasing from 22 new listings in July 2012 to 19 new listings in July 2013. While this shows a decline or 13%, it is still higher than July 2011’s total of 15 new listings.
This month did, however, show a 30% increase in the month’s supply of inventory for Barrington Homes for sale in July 2013. The month’s supply of inventory rose from 20.4 homes in July 2012 to 26.6 homes in July 2013. The month also showed an increase in the market time for homes sold in this community, as the number of days homes remained on the market rose from 324 days in June 2012 to 396 days in July 2013.
