The median sales price for attached homes rose this year, increasing from $344,950 for the year ending September 30, 2012 to $390,000 for the year ending September 30, 2103. The median sales price for detached homes also increased, going from $470,000 for the year ending September 30, 2012 to $485,000 for the year ending September 30, 2013. There was also an increase in the number of closed sales for attached homes, as the figures rose from 6 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 9 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2013. There was also an increase in the number of closed sales for detached homes, as the total increased from 6 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 9 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2013. The number of closed sale for detached homes rose from 27 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 45 closed sales for the year ending September 30, 2013.
The Deer Park Illinois real estate performance review went on to show a decreased in the number of homes for sale in Deer Park. The number of attached homes for sale fell from 7 homes for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 2 homes for the year ending September 30, 2013. The number of detached homes for sale dropped slightly from 17 homes for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 16 homes for the year ending September 30, 2013. The report showed mixed results for the number of new listings reported in this community. While the number of new listings for attached homes remained steady at 16 new listings for the past two years, the number of new listings for detached homes increased by 57 percent, rising from 45 new listings for the year ending September 30, 2013 to 71 new listings for the year ending September 30, 2013.
There was also a decrease in the month’s supply of inventory for Deer Park real estate. The month’s supply of inventory for attached homes dropped from a 5.4-month supply for the year ending September 30, 2012 to a 1.4-month supply for the year ending September 30, 2013. The month’s supply of inventory for detached homes fell from an 8.2-month supply for the year ending September 30, 2012 to a 5.3-month supply of the year ending September 30, 2013. There was improvement in the number of days homes remained on the market. The market time for attached homes fell from 178 days for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 102 days for the year ending September 30, 2013. The market time for detached homes dropped from 143 days for the year ending September 30, 2012 to 100 days for the year ending September 30, 2013.
