The John Herman Team is pleased to release detailed information from Barrington’s September 2013 real estate performance review. This September 2013 report showed an improvement in nearly all categories for homes for sale in South Barrington, including the median sales price, number of closed sales and the number of homes for sale.

There was also an increase in the number of closed sales as the number rose from 2 closed sales in September 2012 to 4 closed sales in September 2013.

The John Herman Team is pleased to release detailed information from Barrington’s September 2013 real estate performance review. This September 2013 report showed an improvement in nearly all categories for homes for sale in South Barrington, including the median sales price, number of closed sales and the number of homes for sale.

The newly release performance review for South Barrington showed an increase of nearly 20% for the median sales price or home in this community. In fact, the median sales price has risen for the second straight year, going from $640,000 in September 2011 to $704,500 in September 2012 to $845,000 in September 2013. There was also an increase in the number of closed sales as the number rose from 2 closed sales in September 2012 to 4 closed sales in September 2013.

The Illinois real estate performance review also showed a slight increase in the number of homes for sale in South Barrington, as the total increase from 59 homes in September 2012 to 61 homes in September 2013. The report continued on to show a significant increase in the number of new listings, as the number of new listings rose from 3 new listings in September 2012 to 13 new listings in September 2013.

The month did, however, show a decrease in the month’s supply of inventory for South Barrington homes for sale. The month’s supply of inventory has actually fallen over the past two year, going from a 17.8-month supply in September 2011 to 11.2-month supply in September 2012 to a 10.8-month supply in September 2013. There was an additional improvement in the market time for homes sold in this community, as the number of days homes remained on the market fell from 214 days in September 2012 to 113 days in September 2013.
