Realtors Cathy and James LeSueur Recognized for Business and Community Leadership in Shaker Heights
Shaker Heights real estate agents Cathy and James LeSueur, of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, receive the Shaker Historical Society's "Movers & Shakers" award.
"We are very grateful to be receiving this prestigious honor," said Cathy, who was also a recipient of the Marcus L. Smythe award for Professionalism, Integrity and Service for Real Estate in 2002. "Very soon after we moved to Shaker Heights in 1987, it felt very right to us -- like the place we were destined to be because of the schools, the proximity to downtown, and the diversity of the community."
The "Movers & Shakers" award, bestowed upon community, political and corporate leaders, honors exceptional citizens whose efforts significantly impact Shaker Heights and the greater community. These extraordinary residents, such as Cathy and James, have also made positive impressions on the Shaker Historical Society.
"We were surprised and humbled by the award, but we have always prided ourselves on being a positive influence on the Shaker Heights community," added James, who teamed up with Cathy 20 years ago and has been a top producing agent in Shaker Heights ever since.
Cathy and her team have been making the dream of homeownership a reality for more than 35 years. She is easily the top producing agent in Shaker Heights. Cathy is ranked "The Very Best of the Best" as the top 1% of sales associates with Howard Hanna, and is the consistent recipient of the Howard Hanna Quality Service Award. Cathy and her team have sold more than 700 houses in the past 10 years in Shaker Heights. Cathy and James also mentor young agents.
Stated client Bob H., "Cathy knew what we were looking for, and found us a beautiful historic home. Then she helped close the deal, and recommended competent professionals to help make and keep our new home in great condition. She's the best!"
Cathy and James helped raise awareness of the importance of rebuilding Fernway Elementary School, which has provided generations of Shaker Heights families and children with an engaging place to learn and a safe space to play. They have also sponsored the Shaker Historical Society's Bike Shaker Open House Bike Tours, which showcases the beautiful homes of historic Shaker Heights, inside and out, and the annual North Union Farmers Market Garlic Festival.
The 9th Annual Movers and Shakers event will also honor former Mayor Earl Leiken and his wife Ellen and Dr. Jack and Linda Lissauer.
