Marble Media LLC’s RecipeIdol.com Calling for Entries for Labor Day Summertime Barbecue Contest
Fort Lee, New Jersey (PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- RecipeIdol.com, the online blog site devoted to offering readers tips, recipes and entertainment ideas that place great food at the center of every party, is celebrating the final weeks of summer 2013 with a Labor Day Summertime Barbecue Contest.
The contest, which runs through September 2, 2013, is already generating some mouth-watering barbecue recipes like Hayley Kraus’s Simple Grilled Peach Dessert. Readers can review recipe entries on the RecipeIdol.com website and vote for the one they like best.
“It’s a great way to rally our readers around an American tradition, the Labor Day barbecue,” says Liz Ernst, a guest blogger for Recipe Idol. “Many of our readers are very savvy and talented when it comes to creating the savory dishes, sides, sauces and desserts that the rest of us love to eat.
“Each Labor Day, we gather in droves to neighborhood block parties, backyard barbecues and community parks to bid farewell to summer the American way--with a perfectly marinated, grilled and garnished bratwurst in one hand and shish-ka-bob in the other."
Ernst says she thinks the meals that sizzle on grills across the country each Labor Day are extra special because these host chefs want to end the summer season with a culinary bang that guests will remember.
"Think about it, Labor Day barbecues are always about the food," she says. "Great food, great drink, friends and family make this a weekend everyone looks forward to every year, and the folks at Recipe Idol think it's a great occasion to highlight the culinary creations of our loyal readers."
