RecordAccount.com Installs Software to Ensure Every Transaction Is Legitimate
SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- RecordAccount.com has upgraded their credit card processing software in order to make sure that each and every customer transaction is legitimate, the company said yesterday.
“Online companies often have problems making sure a purchase is legitimate,” a RecordAccount.com spokesman said. “We only want legitimate customers. We don't want people seeing a surprise charge from our company on their credit card statement.”
The new software is predictive, meaning that it can see the patterns that signal that an attempted purchase is not legitimate, the RecordAccount.com spokesman said.
“When someone gets access to credit card information, the first place they attempt to make a purchase is online,” the RecordAccount.com spokesman said. “That way if the card has been reported stolen, they can't be traced. This makes online companies very vulnerable to these types of crimes.”
Whenever the software sees a red flag in an attempted transaction, it will put the purchase on hold, he said. Then customers will be able to contact their bank to ensure that the transaction is legitimate, he said.
“Very few of our legitimate customers will be affected,” he said. “The software is very sophisticated and should cut down considerably on fraudulent transactions.”
RecordAccount.com said they have beta tested the software for roughly a month and have seen no problems so far.
“In fact, we were shocked at just how accurate it was in flagging purchase attempts that are not legitimate,” he said.
