Recorded Books Boasts 23 Finalists in the 2016 Audies Competition
Prince Frederick, MD (PRWEB) February 09, 2016 -- Among the finalists announced by the Audio Publishers Association (APA) for the 2016 Audie Awards, Recorded Books, Inc., Tantor Media and HighBridge received 23 nominations across a wide range of categories.
“Pairing two acts of creation—the author telling a story and an actor narrating that story for fans—is a sacred thing in the audiobook business,” said Troy Juliar, Recorded Books, chief content officer. “Recorded Books and its family of companies, including Tantor and HighBridge, honor the authors and actors who give life to this growing medium and to the discerning fans who cheer when it is done well.”
The audiobook industry’s premier awards program in the United States, the Audies recognize distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Winners will be announced May 11 at the Audies Gala in Chicago.
“Congratulations go out to all of our Audie-nominated authors and actors,” added Juliar.
