We’re able to provide more content to more people by providing it in lots of different formats.
St. Joseph, MO (PRWEB) October 31, 2013
St. Joseph Public Library (St. Joseph, MO) has partnered with RBdigital from Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD) to deliver two new electronic resources: Zinio for Libraries and OneClickdigital. Zinio for Libraries, awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal, is billed as the world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular publications. OneClickdigital is an online service that allows patrons to check out eAudiobooks and eBooks, including bestsellers, Recorded Books exclusives, classics and selections for children and young adults.
“Libraries are all about providing information to people, but the way we provide that information continues to change and evolve,” said Mary Beth Revels, St. Joseph Public Library Director. “We now offer downloadable audiobooks and eBooks through OneClickdigital and e-magazines through Zinio.”
OneClickdigital provides patrons at St. Joseph Public Library free access to eAudio and eBooks at home, in the library, or anywhere with Internet access. Many titles are multi-access, so multiple users can check out a given title at the same time, eliminating holds. OneClickdigital is compatible with all popular listening devices, and mobile apps are available for the iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire. OneClickdigital features an easy-to-use interface with streamlined navigation, fast downloads and automatic software updates. Live toll-free technical support is available at 1-877-77AUDIO.
Patrons of St. Joseph Public Library may now also visit the library’s website for unlimited simultaneous access to complete digital magazines. Zinio features complete, full-color, page-for-page magazines with intuitive navigation, key-word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video. Periodicals can be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. “Kiplinger’s Personal Finance,” “Every Day with Rachael Ray,” “Men’s Fitness,” “Rolling Stone” and “Us Weekly” are just a few of the fifty-five popular titles that are available.
We’re able to provide more content to more people by providing it in lots of different formats,” said Revels. “If someone is interested in paper we happily have that too.”
