Marshall is a wonderful addition to our team and will fit in well with our philosophy of excellence-in-care.
Nunnelly, TN (PRWEB) June 17, 2015
The Ranch(SM) treatment center in Tennessee has named Marshall Millikin executive director. A respected veteran in the field of behavioral healthcare administration, Millikin is not new to The Ranch facility; he served on its founding board of directors more than 15 years ago. “It’s always a treat when the universe calls great former colleagues into your path,” says Cheryl Brown, the facility’s director of marketing and outreach services. “He sets a great ethical standard for those who surround him and is highly regarded in the treatment field.”
The Ranch is known for its state-of-the-art therapies, beautiful location and warm, inviting facilities nestled in the rolling hills of Nunnelly, less than an hour outside of Nashville. It offers primary, gender-separate treatment for men and women suffering from mental health disorders and addictions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, sex and intimacy disorders, eating disorders and bipolar disorder.
“I was drawn in by the center’s trauma-based approach, which addresses underlying issues and core problems that can fuel mental health issues and emotional disorders,” says Millikin. “There are very few facilities that are so successful at blending evidence-based models of therapy with highly effective alternative therapy-based strategies.”
Some of the integrative approaches used at The Ranch treatment center include equine-assisted therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and adventure therapy. “The program’s therapists have many different strategies and resources to draw from,” says Millikin, “and they work hard to find a combination that resonates with each client. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach.”
Millikin’s experience includes a 12-year tenure with Onsite Workshops and a seven-year association with CRC Health Group. Most recently, he has been working with addiction and behavioral healthcare companies, providing management consulting and training, executive recruiting, and the development of residential facilities and intensive outpatient programs.
Brown says that Millikin is a good fit for the center. “It is exciting to have Marshall join our team,” she says. “His work ethic is to empower those around him to be successful and challenge them to explore new ways to improve. Marshall is a wonderful addition to our team and will fit in well with our philosophy of excellence-in-care.”
“We are pleased to have such a seasoned veteran in the field join us,” adds Greg Phillips, regional vice president of The Ranch treatment center. “I’ve known Marshall for many years and appreciate the value he brings to our team.”
