Founding members of the RedThread Tech Consortium include Augmentir, Axonify, Betterworks, Degreed, Eightfold, Perceptyx, Reejig, SeekOut, Skillable, SplashBI, TechWolf, Top Employers Institute, Visier, and Workday, who are supporting high-quality, agnostic industry intelligence.

RedThread Research, human capital analysts and thought leaders, today announced the formation of a new Tech Consortium to support the development of independent, unbiased HR technology research.

Founding members of the RedThread Tech Consortium include Augmentir, Axonify, Betterworks, Degreed, Eightfold, Perceptyx, Reejig, SeekOut, Skillable, SplashBI, TechWolf, Top Employers Institute, Visier, and Workday. These are software vendors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to high-quality, agnostic industry intelligence.

By being part of the Tech Consortium, these industry leaders will be partially underwriting RedThread’s ongoing research into performance, people analytics, learning and development, and the technologies that support the future of work — and bringing deeper and more actionable information to their customers.

The RedThread Tech Consortium will expand the woman-owned firm’s commitment to exploring technology trends and delivering rigorously impartial analysis across various HR and L&D topics. This independent, “No Bullsh*t” approach has set the firm apart from the “pay-to-play” research that is common across the industry.

“We take a principled and meticulous approach to how we do research,” said Stacia Garr, RedThread Research Co-founder and Principal Analyst. “ When you see RedThread’s name, we want you to immediately know it is going to be honest, unbiased research. This Consortium is a way that we can continue to deliver on that promise — and also invite our members to be part of our bigger commitment to high-quality analysis.”

The RedThread Tech Consortium will provide Consortium members with early or exclusive access to more substantive, unbiased, and actionable research. It will also create channels for companies to communicate with one another, provide feedback on proposed future research questions, and contribute to data gathering.

"Degreed exists to challenge the status quo," said Degreed SVP Strategy, Todd Tauber. "RedThread Research and the community they’ve created shine a light on how the most innovative learning and talent teams are building what's next in HR. We're excited to support this work of capturing and sharing these stories, ideas, and lessons. We hope this Consortium will help inspire and guide others who want to follow."

“RedThread provides some of the most valuable insights into the HR market today,” commented Jake Sorofman, CMO of Visier. “We're excited about the Tech Consortium and we're thrilled to be a founding member of this initiative."

Some of the RedThread Research projects the Consortium will support in 2023 include analyzing the tech marketplace Performance Management, People Analytics, DEIB,and Learning vendor solutions. Though the Tech Consortium enables RedThread to do this work, it is important to note that any HR Tech vendor in a given space will still be eligible to participate in the research – the same as before the Tech Consortium was launched. The goal is to create a group that funds research, not influences it.

“We have been excited to see so many member brands who are committed to objective, high-quality research,” said Dani Johnson, RedThread Research Co-founder and Principal Analyst. “These companies understand how important it is to earn trust, and uphold integrity. The Tech Consortium is about furthering that dedication to quality — but it is also about creating community. Part of creating this resource is bringing these companies into closer conversation with one another — and with us.”

In joining the RedThread Tech Consortium, member companies will have access to a virtual hub exclusively for Consortium members, where they can ask questions, share ideas, and spark innovations. Members will also share relevant business data with RedThread, and work annually with their customers to provide important insights into the industry via questionnaires.

Our mission (indeed, our very reason for existing) is to cut through the noise, and amplify what’s good. We look for the connections (or red threads) between people, data, and ideas – even among seemingly unrelated concepts. The result is high-quality, unbiased, transformative foresight that helps you build a stronger business.
