Epica™ Medical Innovations' Breakthrough Regenerative Therapy Device, Artemis™, is Now Available for Equine Athletes in Wellington, Florida
San Clemente, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2015 -- Epica Medical Innovations, is excited to announce that, Artemis™, a breakthrough regenerative therapy device used to treat equine athletes for injuries, is now available at Atlantic Equine Services, in Wellington, Florida.
Artemis™ is currently the most powerful regenerative therapy device available for veterinary use. Through Epica’s™ proprietary technology, Artemis™ is the only device capable of Noninvasive Regenerative Therapy (NRT) as well as Rapid Inflammatory Mitigation (RIM).
In conducting RIM™ (Rapid Inflammatory Mitigation) and NRT™ (Noninvasive Regenerative Therapy) treatments, Artemis™, delivers very specific waveforms of light energy directly to the injured area of the horse causing a photomechanical effect.
RIM™ reduces inflammation, pain and swelling and NRT™ turns the healthy cells back on, resulting in a cascading effect of regeneration and healing.
Artemis™ now provides Atlantic Equine Services a way to non-invasively regenerate tissue, tendon and ligaments in their equine patients with greater efficacy and safety than previously possible. Treatment protocols range in time and length, with treatments averaging about 12-15 treatments per 30 days. There is no pain or discomfort experienced by the horse, during or after treatment.
“We’re seeing incredibly exciting and promising results using Artemis™ therapies to treat common injuries that can often be career ending for equine athletes; tendons, ligaments, bone bruising and even cartilage repair in acute and chronic lesions. We are also seeing remarkable outcomes with difficult wound healing cases. We are happy to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Omar Maher and Atlantic Equine Services and heal more horses more safely, by utilizing Artemis™ and this incredible technology.” Noted Greg Stoutenburgh, Epica™ Medical Innovations, Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Omar Maher will be the first private practitioner that is also Board Certified in Sports medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR), as well as surgery (ACVS), to acquire this unit. We also are happy to announce that Atlantic Equine Services is the first New England based practice to acquire the Artemis™.
“We are so eager to add this phenomenally promising modality to our therapeutic arsenal, and have been impressed by its track record. We will have the Artemis™ available in Wellington Florida this winter and in early April, it will be available in the New England area” announced Dr. Omar Maher, owner of Atlantic Equine Services (http://www.sporthorsevets.com).
