NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 09, 2023
The Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation (RP Foundation) is pleased to announce the appointment of Frances “Fran” Sweeney to its Board of Directors effective December 11, 2022.
Ms. Sweeney recently retired after 23 years as a fixed income trader with the Capital Group and previously held positions with Citibank and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She graduated from Boston University with degrees in Computer Science and Economics and received her MBA from New York University.
A longtime supporter of the RP Foundation, Ms. Sweeney also dedicates much of her time to community organizations in the greater Los Angeles area, including volunteering as a court-appointed advocate for youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
“We are honored to welcome Fran Sweeney to the RP Foundation Board,” said David Bammert, President and Director. “Her experience and commitment to serving the community will be invaluable as we work to expand our efforts driving fundraising, fueling research, and accelerating our mission to help patients suffering with RP and related autoimmune diseases.”
