Relief Bed International is celebrating its 5th Anniversary Changing Lives One Bed at a Time this month. Relief Bed International is a 501c3 Non-Profit headquartered in Tacoma, Washington.
Since founding Relief Bed International, Scott Smalling along with his corporate partners in the bedding industry have distributed more than 25,000 beds and other sleep accessories to relief agencies worldwide.
Relief Bed International was founded to work primarily in partnership with relief agencies supporting emerging countries and disaster relief, but Smalling quickly fell in love with the plight of homelessness in the United States so this quickly became his primary focus.
“Upon learning that over 500,000 people struggle with some form of homelessness every night, I felt I could use my experience, passion and connections in the bedding industry to help provide a better nights rest for those in need," shared Scott Smalling Founder of Relief Bed International.
Several hundred projects from large to small have been conducted over the last 5 years including; Street Ministry in San Francisco, Orphanage makeover in Kampala, Uganda, Medical beds to Rural Hospitals in Zambia, Earthquake Relief in Mexico, Hurricane Relief in Bahama’s, COVID 19 Response with hospitals and numerous homeless shelters across the United States.
To celebrate Relief Bed’s 5th anniversary, Hunter Smalling Relief Beds Creative Director, will be sharing storytelling videos highlighting specific projects. Videos will be shared on Relief Beds social media channels. Other fun surprises and events will also take place over Relief Beds anniversary month.
