RelinkLabs, the talent intelligence company, appointed Dave Mendoza, award-winning talent strategist, to its executive advisory team Monday, May 26, 2014. The appointment signals a strong move for RelinkLabs into the talent intelligence game, as Mendoza plans to be a Senior Product Advisor for their new suite of products. RelinkLabs launched in 2012.

Dave Mendoza, a U.S.-based talent strategist and award-winning speaker, has expanded into global sourcing strategies in the last few years. Mendoza works with Fortune 500 companies with large and complex talent systems to simplify and help make the most of disparate data.

“My goal is to enable sustainability of the shelf life of talent data” said Mendoza. “Companies have access to so much but it’s in a firehose. My job is to find the important data that have a decided impact on business outcomes and make it easier to see, track and build on that data,” a skill that has created demand for Mendoza’s assistance worldwide, and created a unique place for him at RelinkLabs.

Ståle Fredlund Husby, Co-Founder and CEO of RelinkLabs said: “We are excited to have Dave aboard. Our services build on harnessing and utilizing the real potential in applied big data. Dave’s appointment comes as we are focusing our road map and replacing the guesswork in enterprise talent strategies with data driven insight. Dave has unique first hand knowledge of the pains our customers are facing and we share the same product visions.”

Mendoza has long advocated the need for a better talent mapping system, coining the term “Futurecasting” to describe how talent intelligence could be used to further business outcomes. Today, the practical application of that philosophy happens inside other products, namely CRMs not expressly built for the purpose. RelinkLabs, already well-known for leveraging powerful mechanisms that extract, aggregate and analyze data from the web, seeks to leverage additional differentiation from other open web sourcing products by adding Mendoza’s processes to a technologically powerful product.

The addition of Mendoza to the RelinkLabs executive group comes just months after several other key appointments. “We’re thrilled to be growing at this pace,” said Husby. “We’ve already started working with Dave on educational pieces that will underline the need for these kinds of global sourcing strategies baked in to products that are intuitive to use and that build on intellectual property within the organization.”
