Relocality, the industry’s first online matchmaker for finding a home, today announced that it is bringing its unique service to Europe. With funding received from Dutch investors in late 2014, Relocality will launch its site in the Netherlands in March of this year, with an eye toward future European expansion in 2015. Serving global clients, Relocality Europe will be led by managing director, Boris Geheniau.

Relocality launched in 2013 with a novel approach to helping house hunters decide where to live. The service pairs house hunters with potential neighborhoods based on their Facebook data, with the goal of ensuring the user’s choice will best match their personality, interests and lifestyle. Its unique and disruptive product is highly social, user-centric and can be a trusted resource for information, connection, and collaboration throughout the consumer real estate search lifecycle. Studies have shown that services such as Relocality, which utilize Facebook data to determine personality-based traits and matches, are highly accurate. In fact, according to a recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Cambridge and Stanford University, computers equipped with a list of a user’s Facebook “likes” proved more accurate at determining that person’s personality traits than their own friends and family.

Initially serving house hunters in the New York City metropolitan area, Relocality gained early recognition as a 2013 Realogy FWD Summit finalist. With today’s announcement, the site is moving beyond its New York City roots and expanding to new cities in Europe with Amsterdam being the first international market.
