Remuda Ranch at The Meadows Sponsor of the iaedp Symposium 2014
Wickenburg, AZ (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- Remuda Ranch at The Meadows, a comprehensive treatment center specializing in eating and co-occurring disorders for women and girls, is a sponsor of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation (iaedp) Symposium 2014 on Feb. 26-March 2, 2014 in St. Petersburg, Fla. at the Tradewinds Island Resort.
The theme of the symposium is “Waves of Change.” Dr. Kevin Wandler, Remuda Ranch at The Meadows Medical Director, will present “Will that Medication Make Me Fat or Constipated or... Dietitians and Doctors Working Together to Care for Our Clients” on February 27 with Alice Baker, RD. Dr. Wandler’s presentation will focus on how all medications have benefits and side effects. Wandler will discuss how clients with eating disorders are often hyper-aware of even small changes to their bodies which include weight gain, constipation, or other side effects that can lead to noncompliance and that given the side effect of medication, partnering with a dietitian is an invaluable resource.
Established in 1985, iaedp provides education and high-level training standards to an international multidisciplinary group of various healthcare treatment providers and helping professions, who treat the full spectrum of eating disorder problems.
In addition to sponsoring the symposium Remuda Ranch at The Meadows will be an exhibitor at the symposium with Teresa Tipton and Dana Suitor, Business Development Liaisons, in attendance.
