Several performers of the Scarborough Renaissance Festival are taking on national exposure opportunities nationwide this year.

Scarborough Renaissance Festival® is proud to announce that several of its performers are hitting the big time on the national stage.

On April 29, Melissa Arleth (Cirque du Sewer) appeared on CBS’ “David Letterman Show.” Arleth is the “Acro-bat with Acro-Rats” combining acrobatics, fire and a rat circus that together perform amazing feats of balance and skill. Cirque du Sewer will be performing every weekend at Scarborough Renaissance Festival® through May 26. Visit to learn more.

Tuesday, May 27, the Kamikaze FireFlies are scheduled to compete on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” The Kamikaze FireFlies will perform gravity-defying acrobats and stunts combined with gut-busting laughs. Plus, they hold numerous world records as documented by the Guinness Book of World Records. The Fireflies are no stranger to the national spotlight as they have also appeared on the “Tonight Show” and Off Broadway. The 34th Annual Scarborough Renaissance Festival® is now open and runs every Saturday and Sunday rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Memorial Day on Monday, May 26. Scarborough Renaissance Festival® is interactive fun for everyone, 16th Century style with 21 stages, a newly expanded Mermaid Lagoon, hundreds of costumed characters, two-hundred shoppes, artisan demonstrations, Renaissance rides, games of skill and food fit for a king!

Scarborough Renaissance Festival® is interactive family fun - 16th century style! It’s the thrill at the full combat jousts and falconry demonstrations, 21 stages of non-stop entertainment, hundreds of costumed performers and so much more. Guest can explore 200-plus shoppes and watch numerous artisan demonstrations. Children experience a thrill enjoying Renaissance rides and games; being knighted by King Henry VIII, or meeting the mysterious mermaids of Mermaid Lagoon.
