Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel Hosts Contest For FUN. Tickets, Three-Night Stay

Downtown Phoenix hotel partners with PFLAG National and The Ally Coalition to offer concert passes, deluxe accommodations, complimentary breakfast for two.

Winning a three-night stay at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel and a pair of tickets to see FUN. in concert will make anyone young.

The downtown Phoenix hotel, in partnership with The Ally Coalition, PFLAG National and its Straight for Equality project, is giving away deluxe hotel accommodations and tickets to see the American indie pop band in concert at Comerica Theatre on Sept. 10, 2013, one of the most exciting Phoenix events occurring in September. FUN. is known for its three hit singles “We Are Young,” “Some Nights” and “Carry On.”

On Aug. 16, one lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive two tickets to the concert and a three-night stay at the downtown Phoenix hotel along with breakfast for two at Marston’s Café. To enter the contest, participants must “Like” the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel Facebook Page and follow the instructions on the website. Participants are asked to enter their name, the reason why they are an ally to the LGBT community—or need an ally—and their email address. For an additional chance to win, entrants can print off The Ally Coalition or Straight for Equality card and upload a self-photo holding the card, attached to their entry.

The Ally Coalition was created by the band FUN. and designer Rachel Antonoff with the purpose of inspiring people in the music, fashion and entertainment industries to take action for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. The Ally Coalition defines an ally as someone who supports equal civil rights, gender equality, LGBTQ social movements and actively challenges homophobia and transphobia. This organization seeks to fight against discrimination through education, awareness and advocacy. PFLAG National is the nation’s largest family and ally organization, uniting supporters and members of the LGBTQ community to advance a mission of equality and acceptance through support, education and advocacy. PFLAG’s Straight for Equality Project was created to engage straight allies who don’t necessarily have a family connection to someone LGBTQ.

One of the coolest hotel deals, the FUN ticket giveaway includes a three-night stay at the hotel in Phoenix and breakfast at Marston’s. The winner will experience some of the finest quality accommodations available in town. Rooms at the downtown Phoenix hotel feature upgraded Serta mattresses, coffeemakers, upholstered headboards, granite surfaces, ergonomic desk chairs and 32-inch flat-screen televisions. Marston’s aspires to please every palate by offering a wide variety of dishes for breakfast on the Eye Openers menu. The contest winner will have access to the hotel fitness center containing cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes and a weight machine, as well as the heated outdoor, rooftop pool.
