Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 19, 2014
Rentalutions, the leading provider of landlord software for do-it-yourself landlords, and Sun-Times Media have begun a distribution relationship to market each other’s products and services.
As a part of the agreement, landlords who purchase classified ads for rental properties with the Sun-Times and its suburban newspapers will be offered discounted access to Rentalutions’ platform. With access to Rentalutions, landlords can screen tenants and create and electronically sign lease agreements that comply with the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance (CRLTO).
Sun-Times Media’s EVP of Strategy & Marketing, Julian Posada states, “We are always looking for new ways to use innovative technology to offer greater value to our customers. Providing a tool to customize and digitally sign a lease agreement that complies with Chicago’s rental ordinances is a further enhancement to our real estate offering for landlords.”
Rentalutions’ landlord tools help customers prevent making costly mistakes. According to Co-Founder Ryan Coon, “64% of landlords don’t adequately screen tenants and the average eviction costs more than $12,000. Our tools help landlords avoid renting to bad tenants who will possibly be evicted.”
The relationship with the Sun-Times also addresses one of the Chicago startup’s biggest challenges. Coon states, “We have a product that do-it-yourself landlords need and love. We know that there are roughly 11 million landlords in the United States, but finding them is challenging. We’re really excited to be partnering with an outstanding media company like the Sun-Times.”
Rentalutions helps do-it-yourself landlords easily manage their residential rental properties through the entire process. With Rentalutions, landlords can easily find tenants, access credit and background reports, collect rent and create and sign leases electronically. The Company launched in late 2012 and currently has over 3,900 landlords in all 50 States.
